A lot like Star Fox 64, actually. Dr. Andross, who used to do research on Corneria, went mad with ambition and was banished to Venom. The people slowly forgot all about him, but strange activity was being picked up on planet Venom. Andross has turned it into a huge army base, and soon declared war on the peaceful world of Corneria. Piloting the prototype ship, Arwing, your team of skilled pilots must take out the enemy forces, and save the whole Lylat System!

Tidbits

  • Star Fox was the first game on the SNES to use the Super FX microchip.
  • The Super FX microchip allowed for 3-D polygonal objects to be displayed on the SNES.
  • The development team at Nintendo first got the idea to create a 3-D Mario game while working on this game. The 3-D Mario game would eventually be Super Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64.
