Super Mario Advance 3 will be the 3rd SNES port from Nintendo staring the illustrious Mario. Well, for those who have played Yoshi's Island, they will know that, it actually stars Baby Mario, and a group of Yoshis who are trying to protect him. This unconventional Mario Platformer will once again be available to gamers, but this time it will be portable.

The basic design of the game is centered around a Yoshi carrying Baby Mario through levels while jumping here and there. If Yoshi is hit by an enemy, rather than dying, the Baby Mario is thrown clear, and starts to float away in a bubble. If you do not jump and reclaim Baby Mario within a short time (about ten seconds), it is assumed that the enemy has captured Baby Mario and you lose. So, unless you get Mario back, you lose a life and must try again.

Unbeknownst to most, Yoshi's Island was actually the sequel to Super Mario World. The new port (oxymoron?) will feature the newly established Yoshi voice as heard in many recent Yoshi games (including Super Smash Bros. Melee). The classic Mario Bros. multi-player will again be included in the cartridge. Keep an eye out in September for this, the most recent Advance Mario Advance game.
